During a Radio Interview with Robby Thomas Walsh to promote Purpendiculars Spanish Island Dates in 2013, DJ Richie From RADIO ONE MALLORCA told his story in the Interview of how his Brother in law performed Live with Jon, and stated that Purpendicular were an outstanding Act.
Sadly Jon never got to perform with the Band and passed away in 2012.The Band dedicate When a Blind Man Cries in theor set each Night to Jon.

This year started out quite slow in regards to tour dates, starting in January in Wels Austria.
Then a series of tour dates taking in Germany, Austria, France, Hungary and then last but not least to finish of an outstanding year the band made their debut in Russia St Petersburg with the legendary ex Deep Purple Rainbow Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist JOE LYNN TURNER.
The band flew out from a very cold and snowy Munich Airport at 13.10 local time on the 16th of December of this year arriving in Moscow and then on to St Petersburg.
The location was the famous JAGGER CLUB.

The Purpendicular management are delighted to announce that Joe Lynn Turner (ex DEEP PURPLE & RAINBOW Vocalist) will perform in St Petersburg Russia at the fantastic Jagger Club with Purpendicular on the 17th of December 2010.
This sensational news was confirmed last weekend when all contracts were signed, bringing Purpendicular together with one of rocks greatest Vocalists.
Robby Thomas Walsh will share vocals together with Joe, with a few surprises in store!
Joe Lynn Turner appeared on the classic ‘Slaves and Masters’ album and toured worldwide with Deep Purple in 1991. Before that period he was known best as the Vocalist in Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow from 1981 till the band split in 1983, appearing on three albums ‘Difficult to Cure, Bent out of shape and Straight between the eyes.

It is official that after nearly three years Guitarist Joe Doblhofer has left the band by mutual consent. The band and Management would like to thank Joe for all his great services to the band over that period of time, and wish him well for his future career.
Meanwhile the Band and Management are delighted to Announce new Guitar Player Jo Pichler (25). The young Austrian comes very qualified to the band and has various styles of ability to equal the Quality of previous shows.
Drummer Rainer Lidauer and Bassist Simon Radner already were aware of Jo’s talents as both had worked with him in various sessions in recent years.
A profil of Jo will be added in the next days and the band are highly motivated for a series of heavy touring and are excited about future plans.

The Purpendicular management are delighted to announce their new Partnership with French Promoter Jean Richards.
So far one French tourdate has been confirmed by Jean in Ensisheim near Strasbourg (Tour Dates) and a possible two more shows will be added.
The band are looking forward to their first ever visit to the country.

Purpendiculars trip to Hungary was a very successful one with the collaboration of Cry Free (Hungarian Deep Purple cover band) playing mostly the very early purple material to Purpendicular specialising in the more modern Purple sound of late. Both bands playing on the same stage 40 years of Deep Purple history making it more than a three hour show and a dream come true for Deep Purple fans.
