It is official that after nearly three years Guitarist Joe Doblhofer has left the band by mutual consent. The band and Management would like to thank Joe for all his great services to the band over that period of time, and wish him well for his future career.

Meanwhile the Band and Management are delighted to Announce new Guitar Player Jo Pichler (25). The young Austrian comes very qualified to the band and has various styles of ability to equal the Quality of previous shows.
Drummer Rainer Lidauer and Bassist Simon Radner already were aware of Jo’s talents as both had worked with him in various sessions in recent years.
A profil of Jo will be added in the next days and the band are highly motivated for a series of heavy touring and are excited about future plans.

Jo had these words to say on his first meeting with Purpendicular.
‘I arrived early as i was invited down to have a jam with the guys. Stoffi was there and opened me a beer straight away…normally i drink coffee but hey..this is Purpendicular.I had never met Stoffi nor Robby but I had seen them live on stage before.
Then Robby came in a bit later and we started to jam a few songs, mainly morse stuff as its a trademark of Purpendicular, and in all honesty it was a great feeling from the first note.The guys are great musicians and are really easy to play with both musically and personally.
I’m very excited about the future and I’m looking forward to the upcoming shows in East Germany.
